The annual Town Meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the high school auditorium, 430 Osgood St. Voters will be asked to consider 34 articles, from a proposed spending plan for the town of nearly $84.3 million for the upcoming fiscal year, which begins July 1, to an article that would create a bylaw allowing the Board of Selectmen to set rules and regulations governing the retail sale of food and beverages by individuals who are not otherwise licensed as a common victualler, such as mobile food trucks and hot dog/sausage stands. Other issues to be considered at Town Meeting include a proposal to allow the keeping of backyard hens and two separate moratoriums — one on the installation of wind energy systems, the other on medical marijuana treatment facilities.
