Mike Driscoll, Danvers Post 180: The 6-foot righthander fired a three-hit shutout in a 3-0 win over Gloucester. The recent St. John’s Prep graduate struck out 15 batters and walked two over seven innings. He will play baseball at Northeastern on a scholarship.
Alec Livingston , Andover Post 8: In an 8-1 win over Lynn Post 6, the righty hurled a one-hitter with five strikeouts and two walks against the District 8 leader. A member of the club baseball squad at Ohio State, he carried a no-no into the sixth inning.
Paul Mahoney , Haverhill Post 4: In his last two starts, the lefty defeated two of the top teams in District 8. The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth pitcher threw 6⅓ innings against first-place Lynn in a 4-3 win on Monday and fired a complete game against Lawrence in a 6-1 victory on June 25.
Jake Porrazzo, Medford Post 45: The Globe All-Scholastic catcher delivered back-to-back game-winning RBIs against Billerica (June 29) and Chelmsford (July 2) . He is headed to Worcester Poly Tech in the fall.
