Danielle DeVellis wins student art scholarship

The Marblehead Festival of Arts awarded a $3,000 scholarship this month to Danielle J. DeVellis, a member of the Marblehead High School class of 2013. The Student Art Scholarship is given to a Marblehead High School senior pursuing higher education in visual arts, performing arts, crafts, music, drama, or writing. DeVellis plans to attend the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where she intends to major in fine art with a minor in art therapy. According to the festival, she was chosen from a pool of eight applicants because of her high academic standing, passion for art, and artistic talent.
