Evan Eldridge , Danvers Post 180: The 6-foot-2 shortstop had to be on his toes consistently on Monday against Lynn. The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth-bound player recorded seven assists — including two on double plays — and two putouts. One ball after another was hit his way, but he committed no errors contributing to the 4-0 win.

Corey McNamara , Newburyport Post 150: In a scoreless tie against Lynn Post 6, the 6-foot righthander tossed a nine-inning complete game shutout. In his previous start, on June 29, the rising sophomore at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine fired a 1-0 shutout. Over the course of the two games, he gave up five hits and two walks and struck out 16 in 16 innings pitched.

Emily Messinger, Northeast/Bay State Games: The catcher made her mark throughout the six-game tournament as the Northeast squad earned the silver medal. The Marblehead High School rising junior’s feats included a three-run homer in Monday’s 6-1 win over Southeast-Coastal, a three-run double against Metro on Tuesday, and a two-run triple on Wednesday, also against Metro.
