Board selects new town administrator

Pending successful contract negotiations, the Board of Selectmen has selected Belmont Assistant Town Administrator Kellie Hebert as Topsfield’s new town administrator. The board met last Sunday and selected Hebert, by a vote of 3 to 2, from a field of four candidates that also included consultant William DiLibero, the former town administrator in Charlestown, R.I.; Plaistow Town Manager Sean Fitzgerald, a former chief of staff to the mayor in Peabody; and Seekonk Town Administrator Pamela Nolan. Hebert will succeed Virginia Wilder, who retired on June 30.
