Farmers market returns to previous location

The Revere Beach Farmers Market recently returned to its previous location at the Reinstein Bandstand on Revere Beach. The outdoor market had moved at the start of this season to the new pedestrian plaza above Wonderland MBTA station. But due to a lack of activity in the first several weeks of the market, organizers decided to return it to the Reinstein Bandstand, where it had been until this year. The hours for the outdoor market have also been changed to 2-6 p.m. from 3-7 p.m. every Thursday. Four farms and two other vendors are participating in this year’s market, which will run through Oct. 17. In addition to fresh produce, the market has a selection of cheeses, grass-fed beef and veal, fresh eggs, coffee beans, and maple syrup. The market is run by Revere Beach Partnership, a nonprofit that also organizes the city’s annual Kite, Sand Sculpting, and Fall festivals.
