Wakefield is holding its fourth annual Festival Italia Friday and Saturday. The festival begins with an Italian dinner on Friday at the Sheraton Colonial hotel. The event, from 6 to 10:30 p.m., will feature dishes provided by 12 Wakefield food establishments. Tickets are $30 and must be purchased in advance. Then on Saturday the festival continues with free, family-oriented activities from 2 to 8 p.m. on portions of Main and Albion streets Businesses will offer their goods in outdoor tents as well as in their stores. There will also be street vendors, a rock-climbing wall, a beer garden, musical entertainment, children’s activities, and a “wheel of chance,” in which participants spin a wheel to win gift certificates. The festival is being organized by the town’s Event Planning Committee. For more information, go to www.wakefieldepc.com or go to the “Wakefield EPC” page on Facebook.
