Wildlife Refuge offers chance to explore


The Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, at 6 Plum Island Turnpike, is offering children ages 5 to 10 the chance to explore tide pools and discover the fascinating plants and animals that live there during a free “Tide Pool Discoveries” program, scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday ; noon Friday; 9 a.m. on Aug. 26; 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 27; and noon on Aug. 30. A refuge ranger will guide the program. Space is limited and advance registration is required. In addition, a parent or guardian must remain with each participating youngster for the duration of the program. For more information, call 978-465-5753.
