Flying Flutistas set to perform

Boston’s Vanessa Breault Mulvey and Lynne Krayer-Luke, better known as the “Flying Flutistas,” are scheduled to share their passion for coaching movement to enhance coordination for music-making, athletics, and life during a concert at Reading Public Library, 64 Middlesex Ave., on Aug. 27. The program is slated to begin at 7 p.m. and will feature selections inspired by flight, by composers Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Gary Schocker, Cornelis Doppler, and others. Breault Mulvey and Krayer-Luke took an unlikely path that led them to the Trapeze School of New York Beantown where, from the first leap off the board, the two flutists were amazed at the life lessons they learned on facing fear. The concert is sponsored by the Friends of the Reading Public Library. For more information, visit www.readingpl.org or call the library at 781-944-0840.
