On Saturday, the Angel Fund is holding its 12th annual Walk of Hope for ALS, a 3.5-mile walk around Lake Quannapowitt. Based in Wakefield, the Angel Fund is a nonprofit that supports research on amyotrophic lateral sclerosis at the Cecil B. Walkers of all abilities are encouraged to take part as individuals or as members of a team. In addition to the walk, the event will include children’s activities and refreshments for walkers. Registration begins at 9 a.m. on the Wakefield Common, with the walk set to begin at 11 a.m. For more information, go to www.theangelfund.org or call 781-245-7070.
