The Board of Selectmen has named John H. “Jason” Kimball III as its new veterans services director. A former major in the Marine Corps, Kimball is a lawyer and president of the Lynnfield Rotary Club. He has assisted in the office in the past as a volunteer. The 10-hour-a-week job pays a stipend of $10,000 a year. Kimball replaced Nick Secatore, who is also a Lynnfield police officer, who did not seek reappointment for fiscal year 2014.
