After serving stints as communications director for Everett and for state Senator Sal DiDomenico, Matt Laidlaw has landed a new assignment. The Everett resident recently began work as marketing and communications director of For Kids Only Afterschool, a Salem-based nonprofit that provides after-school, school vacation, and summer programming for children in East Boston, Everett, Peabody, Revere, Salem, and Winthrop. Laidlaw held his communications post with the city, serving as a member of Mayor Carlo DeMaria Jr.’s administrative team, from July 2008 until August 2012, when he left to work for DiDomenico, an Everett Democrat.
