Medford has unveiled its first signed and guided walking route. Named Over the Mystic, the 1.7-mile loop takes travelers from Governors Avenue in Medford Square to Lawrence Street, Winthrop Street, and then along the Mystic River Path to Condon Shell Park. Walkers are guided by circular white signs with the name of the path and arrows. The path’s opening was celebrated Aug. 15 with guided historical walks beginning at the Medford Historical Society on Governors Avenue.
