Salon hosting fourth annual Hair-Cut-A-Thon

The staff of Lumina Salon will hold its fourth annual Hair-Cut-A-Thon at the Reading Street Faire Sunday. The salon is working with the Burbank YMCA, with proceeds from the event going to the Y’s Pink Program, which is designed to help breast cancer patients and those who are in remission to exercise safely and enhance their overall health. Pink Program classes are free to participants and adapted for all fitness levels. During the Hair-Cut-A-Thon, the salon staff will volunteer their time and talent to provide haircuts for men, women, and children. They also will offer other services during the fund-raiser, including the application of hair extension pieces, temporary color streaks, and braiding. The event also will feature a raffle for hair care products and salon services. During the Street Faire, the town closes Haven Street. Lumina’s booth will be at the top of Haven, near Main Street.
