In celebration of the town’s 283d anniversary, the Wilmington Memorial Library is scheduled to bring back “Times Gone By and Apple Pie” at 7 p.m. Sept. 25. The program, first presented by the library in 1997, will be moderated this year by former town manager Michael A. Caira, who moved to Wilmington as a child and served as town manager for more than 20 years. A panel of longtime residents will share their memories of Wilmington from the 1930s through the 1960s. There will be time for questions and memories from the audience. The Friends of the Library will provide apple pie in honor of the Baldwin apple, which was discovered in Wilmington. All are also invited to the opening of an exhibit called “Discover Wilmington Photography,” which will feature local photographers’ work. Registration is required for the 7 p.m. program and may be completed online through the library’s calendar of events. Visit www.wilmlibrary.org. For those who would prefer to register by phone, call the library at 978-658-2967.
