Math tutors wanted for second graders

Volunteers are needed for the math tutor program for second-graders, run by Medford School Volunteers. All community members — from high school and college students, to working professionals and retirees — are encouraged to take part. Volunteers will be matched up with a student, and together they will work on basic math skills and concepts. Tutoring sessions will last from 30 to 45 minutes two times per week, either before or after school. Prior experience is not necessary, and a training session will be held in October at a date to be determined. Anyone interested should send an e-mail to medfordvolunteers@gmail.com
