State lawmakers to meet in Danvers

Area municipal officials and state lawmakers will gather in Danvers this week to discuss issues of concern to cities and towns. The Massachusetts Municipal Association will hold one of nine fall legislative breakfast meetings in Town Hall on Friday at 8 a.m. The sessions are an opportunity for local officials, legislators, and association staff to share information and talk about pending State House matters relating to municipalities. Potential bills concerning retirement benefits and school finances are among issues that may be discussed, as well as transportation, including the state’s Chapter 90 road and bridge program.
