The town has hired Boston Benefit Partners to provide education sessions regarding North Andover’s transition to the Group Insurance Commission. During these sessions, participants will learn about the various health plans that are offered in advance of the open enrollment period, which runs Oct. 7-23. Municipal workers may attend any session for active employees. Those sessions are being offered Sept. 30, and Oct. 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, and 10. Separate sessions are being held for Medicare retirees, non-Medicare retirees, Medicare retired municipal teachers, and non-Medicare retired municipal teachers. For schedule details, visit www.townofnorthandover.com and click on the link to the GIC Health Insurance Update from the home page under Town News. In addition, a health fair is scheduled to take place from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 16 at the North Andover High School Field House. Representatives from the Group Insurance Commission and insurance carriers will be on hand to answer questions about coverage and assist attendees in completing enrollment forms. For more information, visit the town website, e-mail GICinfo@townofnorthandover.com, or call 978-380-1010.
