The town is sponsoring a public forum on bicycling from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 22 in the Public Safety Center, 32 North Main St. Town planners and bicycle advocates will be on hand. Participants will learn how they can get involved in efforts to improve bicycling safety and infrastructure. Providing safe and comfortable bicycle and pedestrian travel throughout Andover is a goal included in the town’s master plan, which was last updated in 2012. The plan’s stated vision for Andover includes foot and bicycle travel as an alternative to automobiles that encourages a greater sense of community. For more information, contact Paul Materazzo, director of planning, at pmaterazzo@andoverma.gov.
