District attorney offering free senior protection presentation

This Tuesday, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan is presenting a free senior protection seminar at 11 a.m. in McCarthy Senior Center, 30 Converse St. The program, featuring Ryan and other experts, will include discussion and information on safe banking practices, how seniors can remain safe in their homes, and how to avoid lottery and other scams targeting the elderly. Service providers will also outline what resources are available for older people. The event, open to all, includes a free lunch. Ryan is offering the program in conjunction with the Wakefield Police Department, Mystic Valley Elder Services, and the Savings Bank in Wakefield.
