The state’s Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs has approved the newest version of Swampscott’s Open Space and Recreation Plan, which covers 2013 up to 2020. The purpose of the plan, a revision of a plan first developed in 1983, is to identify, inventory, and prioritize open space and recreational facilities in town, and to make recommendations for their maintenance, preservation, and expansion. A copy is available at the town website at town.swampscott.ma.us.
