Affordable Housing Committee volunteer needed

The Board of Selectmen is seeking a volunteer to serve on the town’s Affordable Housing Committee, which is charged with investigating Westford’s affordable housing needs and making recommendations to the board. The committee helps to determine the goals and objectives of the town and will develop an affordable housing plan the town can implement. Once a plan is adopted, the committee will see that the plan is carried out. The committee also is charged with establishing affordable housing standards and guidelines, and acts as the town’s review agency for all housing proposals that address the needs of Westford residents earning low to moderate incomes. Anyone interested in serving on the Affordable Housing Committee is encouraged to fill out a citizen’s activity application form at For more information, contact the town manager’s office at 978-692-5501.
