Democrats holding caucus to elect delegates to State Convention

Saugus Democrats will hold a caucus next Sunday to elect 13 delegates and three alternates to this year’s Democratic State Convention. The caucus, being organized by the Democratic Town Committee, will be held at 7 p.m. in the Laurel Gardens senior housing complex at 2 Rice St. Any Saugus resident who was a registered Democrat as of Jan 31 is eligible to attend and to run for a delegate or alternate seat. The convention is scheduled for June 13-14 at the DCU Center in Worcester. Its primary will be the endorsement of Democratic candidates in this year’s election for governor and other statewide offices.
