Three contested races on ballot Tuesday

Absentee ballots will be available in the town clerk’s office, 55 Main St., until noon on Monday for registered voters who will be unable to get to the polls for Tuesday’s local election. To be counted, a completed ballot must be received by the time the polls close. Voters will decide three contested races on the ballot. Board of Selectmen incumbent Kelly J. Ross of Carriage Way faces challengers James S. Jarvie IV of Cranberry Drive and Donald Louis Siriani of Graniteville Road for a three-year term. With two School Committee seats on the ballot, incumbents David A. Keele of Boston Road and Birgit Erika Kohl of Frances Hill Road will be joined by challenger Avery Rockwell Adam of Providence Road in the race for the three-year positions. And in the race for a five-year term on the Housing Authority, incumbent Muriel T. Drake of Tadmuck Road faces challenger Bernard Meyler Jr. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. For more information or to request an absentee ballot, contact the town clerk’s office at 978-692-5515.
