Planning Board openings filled

The five-member Georgetown Planning Board has welcomed two familiar faces as new members this spring. Tim Howard opted not to run for another full term when his five-year term expired in May, but he has accepted a one-year appointment to fill the position formerly held by Chris Rich, who died in April. Former Planning Board chairman and School Committee member Rob Hoover, meanwhile, was elected unopposed to the position formerly held by Howard at the May 12 town election. The board was scheduled to meet Wednesday night, and planned to reorganize for the coming year.
