The Haverhill Farmers Market is scheduled to kick off its 2014 season on June 28. The family-friendly market is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays from June 28 through Oct. 25 at 40 Bailey Blvd., next to the police station. The location is accessible by car, bike, or public transportation, and there is free parking nearby. In keeping with its mission to promote local agriculture while serving as a social gathering place where sellers can connect with the community, the Haverhill Farmers Market offers farm-fresh products, cooking demonstrations, live musical performances by local artists, and children’s activities. All goods at the Haverhill market are 100 percent seller-made, seller-grown. To view a list of Haverhill’s food-related farms or to learn more about the Farmer’s Market, visit teamhaverhill.org/projects/community/haverhill-farmers-market. A link to “The Farms of Haverhill” brochure can be found on the farmers market website, in the lower right corner.
