Somerville: Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone played trumpet in the Somerville High School Jazz Band. To honor and support jazz in the city, he started Joe’s Jazz & Blues Fest. This year’s edition features the Somerville High School Jazz Ensemble, Laura Grill Band, Racky Thomas Band, Mark Zaleski Band, Joey Vellucci Quartet, New Black Eagle Jazz Band, and Sugar Ray and the Bluetones.
