State representative candidates to meet with residents

Residents have an opportunity to meet the three candidates running for the open 11th Essex state representative seat this year. Massachusetts Senior Action Council is presenting a candidates forum for the 11th Essex race on June 25 at 6 p.m. in the community room of Wall Plaza, the Housing Authority and Neighborhood Development apartments at 10 Church St. The three contenders, all Lynn Democrats, are City Councilor Brendan Crighton, School Committee member Charlie Gallo, and Katerina Koudanis. The seat has been vacant since Democrat Steven Walsh of Lynn resigned in March to take a job in the private sector. Massachusetts Senior Action Council is a nonprofit group that advocates for senior citizens. The forum is open to everyone and is designed to cover issues of interest to all residents of the district, which includes West Lynn and Nahant.
