The city recently signed a contract renewal with Cataldo Ambulance. The agreement will enable Atlantic Ambulance Service, a division of Cataldo, to continue as the city’s exclusive provider of emergency ambulance services in Peabody through June 30, 2017. It will also continue to provide coverage and support for community events and details, and serve on a standby basis at all working fires. Atlantic Ambulance has been providing emergency ambulance coverage for Peabody since July 2008. Cataldo acquired Atlantic in 2003. Cataldo provides emergency ambulance services for 15 municipalities, as well as hospitals and numerous private contracts from 21 base locations, covering Greater Boston and the North Shore. The Atlantic Ambulance Service division is Cataldo’s primary responder in the northern part of its region.
