Systemic racism will be the focus of a community forum in Marblehead on Monday, Aug. 21. The event, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Abbot Public Library, 235 Pleasant St., is the latest in a series of informal “Conversations on Race” being organized jointly by the Marblehead Racial Justice Team and the library. Participants will watch a video that shows how systemic racism is present across institutions and society, and then talk about where they see it in their own lives and community. The forums are free and open to all. For more information, call 781-631-1481 or go to abbotlibrary.org.John Laidler can be reached at email@example.com.
