A Special Town Meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 7 in the Howe-Manning School in Middleton. The warrant contains 13 articles, including reconsideration of the Natsue Way Recreational Project, which would create four athletic fields, pathways, play structures, and other recreational amenities near that road. Town Meeting voters rejected the $3.9 million recreation project last spring, but funding for it passed during a general election in May. That amount is no longer valid because the previous bids have expired. Town officials believe the project cost may now be closer $4.5 million when new bids are taken. Also on the warrant is a request for about $25,000 for repairs to ceilings and carpeting at Memorial Hall during upcoming structural work, and a petition for two additional package stores in town.Linda Greenstein can be reached at email@example.com.
