Friday, Oct. 27, is the last day to register to vote at the Nov. 7 Special Town Meeting. Among the 19 articles on the warrant are the adoption of 25 miles-per-hour speed limits in thickly settled neighborhoods; adding a snow and ice emergency parking ban bylaw (and removing the winter-long prohibition on street parking); reducing membership in the town’s Agricultural Commission from seven to five (with three alternate members, from five); seeking $125,000 (to be combined with a federal Homeland Security grant of $107,000) for personal safety equipment for the Fire Department; plus zoning changes and budget articles. Residents may register at the Town Clerk’s office at City Hall during business hours, and on Oct. 27 from 8 a.m until 8 p.m., or online through the Town Clerk’s page at ipswichma.gov.
