The Somerville Planning Board is holding a two-part public meeting focused on the Union Square Coordinated Development Plan on Nov. 20 in the Argenziano School cafeteria, 290 Washington St., and at Nov. 30 at City Hall, 93 Highland Ave., both at 6 p.m. The plan was created by Union Square Station Association, or US2, the firm chosen by the Somerville Redevelopment Authority to serve as master developer of seven parcels the city has identified for future development. Earlier this fall, US2 outlined its preliminary plans for the parcels and a new neighborhood park. The upcoming sessions are designed to seek community input into the final plan, which is now before the Planning Board. Approval would allow the plan to move forward, but public review would separately be required for each specific building project.
