Malden to host forum on future of workforce

The future of working in Massachusetts will be the topic of a regional forum in Malden on Tuesday, March 13. The event, hosted by state Senator Jason M. Lewis, a Winchester Democrat, will be held at 6 p.m. at the Beebe School, 401 Pleasant St. It will focus on the state’s changing economy, its evolving workforce needs, and possible strategies to prepare students and workers for future jobs. Rosalin Acosta, state Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development, will discuss priorities in advancing workforce preparedness and skill development, while Malden School Superintendent John Oteri will discuss new approaches schools are taking to better prepare students for jobs of the future.
