Plymouth waits for state OK on tax rate

Taxes for the third quarter are due Feb. 1. This bill is an estimate because Plymouth’s 2012 tax rate hasn’t been certified yet by the state Department of Revenue. Local taxpayers should expect to see slightly higher tax bills for the fourth quarter, because those will be based on the new tax rate and will include an adjustment, as well as any liens for utilities or betterments. Fourth quarter tax bills will be mailed out around the end of March and will be due May 1, according to Plymouth Treasurer/Collector Edward Maccaferri. - Emily Sweeney
