Board openings

The town is seeking applicants to fill two board positions. One is an elective seat on the library trustees that became vacant due to the resignation of Robert A. Sullivan. Selectmen and the remaining library trustees will choose someone to fill the seat. The appointment will be through the April 14 annual town election, which is also when the term of the seat expires. The other position is a seat on the Rent Control Board that will become vacant Feb. 28, when James Lang resigns. The Rent Control Board is responsible for approving rent increases proposed at the town’s two mobile home parks. Anyone who would like to apply for either position should send a letter of interest to the Board of Selectmen.
