Athletic director search

The Sharon public schools are searching for an athletic director, and residents have until Tuesday to apply to serve on the search committee. The district intends to invite three parents or guardians, three student athletes, and one other member of the community to join the committee, which will also include school staff and coaches. Superintendent Timothy Farmer said the committee will interview candidates in February and select two or three finalists. The new athletic director will replace Bob Sondheim, who plans to retire at the end of this school year. To apply for a seat on the search committee, residents may send a brief letter explaining their interest to Glenn Brand, the assistant superintendent and chairman of the search. E-mail him at brand@sharon.k12.ma.us.
