Hearing on MBTA cuts

State Senator Robert Hedlund and Representative Garrett Bradley have scheduled a public hearing for 6 p.m. Feb. 8 in Town Hall to gather feedback on potential MBTA cutbacks and fare hikes. The MBTA’s current budget proposal includes elimination of the commuter boat subsidy and cancellation of weekend commuter rail service to the area. The plan is an attempt to address a $161 million budget gap anticipated for the coming fiscal year. - Christine Legere
