New public works director

David J. Field of Attleborough has been appointed Easton’s new public works director. Field. a registered professional engineer, will also be Easton’s first town engineer hired in several years. He will leave his current job as Dedham director of engineering and start in Easton on Feb. 13. According to town administrator David Colton, he will take the lead role in completing the town’s comprehensive waste-water management plan, the revitalization of North Easton Village, the renovation of Frothingham Hall, and various local roadway and intersection projects.
