Indoor rowing competition

The Hull Lifesaving Museum, 1117 Nantasket Ave., will host its annual indoor rowing competition Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Individuals and teams compete on rowing machines, or ergometers, in 2,000- and 5,000-meter races, as well as relays and sprints. Race categories also separate participants by age; in previous events, the range has been from 6 to 82 years old. The CRASH-Bobs competition’s centerpiece is the Liffmann Challenge, which combines a 5,000-meter rowing race and a 2.5-mile run or bike sprint through Hull’s hilliest neighborhood. Drop-ins are welcome for individual events, but preregistration is required for the Liffmann Challenge; call 781-925-5433. The event is free, but donations for the museum will be accepted. - Johanna Seltz
