The Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District is holding a Family Literacy Night on Tuesday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the Austin School on Howland Road. All district students and their families may attend, and school officials encourage them to bring younger siblings not yet enrolled in school. The program will feature readings and book signings by local authors as well as games and activities for children. Entertainment will be provided by the Toe Jam Puppet Band from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. District teachers will also lead activities and offer suggestions to parents on how to incorporate reading into their children’s daily activities. - Paul Kandarian
