Redistricting creates new challenge for Keating
Congressman William R. Keating is running for reelection in a much different district this year. The freshman Democrat saw his political base of Quincy removed from his district in last year’s congressional redistricting, while the populous New Bedford/Fall River area was added to it. Keating already is facing a primary challenge from Bristol District Attorney C. Samuel Sutter, and others are considering entering the race. Keating is upbeat about his chances and has been campaigning in the district recently.
