PEMBROKE | BRIEFS

Parade participants sought

The committee planning the town’s 300th anniversary celebration is seeking businesses, organizations, clubs, and individuals interested in participating in the tercentennial parade that is planned for Sept. 23. Although the parade is still eight months away, planning is well under way. The committee is especially interested in spurring neighborhoods to engage in “a little friendly competition” in creating floats, according to Kyle Harney, a committee spokesman. To obtain a parade application, visit www.Pembroke300.com. For more information, contact John Mattinson from the town’s cable access station, Pembroke Media Broadcasts, at PMBTelevision@aol.com. - John Laidler
