Dedham: The All-America City Quilt is a collaborative work of art created by residents of cities and towns across the country. Each year, dozens of finalists in the All-America City Award are asked to submit quilt squares representing their communities. On display March 12-16, with reception March 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. Dedham Square Artist Guild, 553 High St. Free.


Hingham: Hingham resident Arthur Garrity, a professional fine art appraiser, will offer verbal appraisals at South Street Gallery. Etchings, prints, or original oil or watercolor paintings may be submitted for review. Marshfield: Old Abington - Rockland, Abington, and most of Whitman - is 300 years old this year. Celebrate by spending a morning birding in these three towns: at Island Grove, at the Rockland Town Forest, at Studley Pond, Ames Nowell State Park and more. Registration is required.
