Moon Island turbines demise shows strength of grass-roots politics in Quincy - South

The proposed Moon Island wind turbine, a joint venture between the cities of Quincy and Boston, had been in discussion for over two years. When Quincy Mayor Koch withdrew his support last month, Boston officials and supporters of renewable energy were disappointed. But it illustrated how grass-roots politicking can get things done in Quincy.
