Tax break approved

A Special Town Meeting last Monday approved by unanimous voice vote a temporary tax break to a Plymouth firm that plans to relocate to West Bridgewater. The tax increment financing agreement had been negotiated between selectmen and the company, Cheer Pack North America LLC. The company, which manufactures food and beverage packaging, plans to move to the industrial park on United Drive. The agreement requires state approval. The meeting, also by unanimous voice votes, authorized spending for two upgrades to the public library. One is for $6,500 to repair deteriorated seams in the roof, and the other is for $45,000 for repairs to the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system.
