PEMBROKE | BRIEFS

Annual pancake breakfast

Residents can take part in a traditional community event and help support the preservation of the town’s history. The Pembroke Historical Society is holding its annual pancake breakfast next Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon at its museum building, located in the former Bryantville school house, 116 Center St. Tickets are $6, or $4 for children under 12. Proceeds will support the society’s restoration and maintenance of its three historic buildings. In addition to the museum, they are the Adah Hall House and the Friends Quaker Meeting House. The three buildings are open to the public for research and educational use. Following the breakfast, the society will hold its annual meeting, electing officers for 2012. The public is invited to attend and the society welcomes new members. For more information, contact Beth Dwyer at 781-829-2157 or beth_dwyer@verizon.net. - John Laidler
