Meet the candidates on TV

Wareham Community Television this week will host two debates for the candidates running for the Board of Selectmen. The first debate, on Thursday, will feature contenders for the three-year seat: Bruce Sauvageau, Alan Slavin, and David Smith. Friday evening will feature Amit Johar and Peter Teitelbaum, the two candidates vying for the two-year seat. (Patrick Tropeano has dropped out of the race). Each debate will start at 7 p.m. and will air live on Comcast Channel 9 and Verizon Channel 30. Candidates will spend the hour responding to questions from newspaper reporters, and the discussion will be moderated by WCTV executive director Jay Heard.
