The town is gearing up for spring with newly implemented schedules for trash disposal. First, the compost site behind the Plain Street Cemetery reopened last week. The site is closed on holidays, but is otherwise open from Wednesday through Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. Additionally, the Recycling Center on Ivory Street offers curbside collection of spring yard waste beginning in May. Material must be curbside by 7 a.m. Also, residents are encouraged to use the drop-off site at Plain Street during June, July, August, and September.
