The office of treasurer/collector Jeanne Sullivan is reminding property owners that tax bills for the second half of fiscal 2012 were recently mailed and are due May 1. Payments can be made by mail using a remittance envelope enclosed with the bill. They can also be made online through the town’s website, www.hanson.ma.gov, or at Town Hall during business hours. Meanwhile, the office is also asking residents to note an insert in the mailing that provides information on the town’s switch from twice a year to quarterly tax payments, effective July 1, the start of the next fiscal year.
